Schedule of Events - August 20-22, 2021

Friday - August 20



  • Golf Outing:

Brookledge Golf Course - 1621 Bailey Road, Cuyahoga Falls

$40 per person, pay at the golf course. Shotgun start, 7:30am arrival, tee off at 8:00am. All are welcome – bring a guest if you like (guests do not need to be Class of '71). Cost includes 18 holes (scramble format), cart and DeVitis sub, chips and pop or water. Beverage cart will be at the turn for drink purchases. Please check YES and indicate how many golfers on the reunion registration form. You will receive a call from a reunion committee member to get the name(s) of your guest(s) to set up foursomes. Check in with your Reunion Committee Members, Ross Calvin, Kathy Mahoney Knepp or Ellen Donaldson Patrino upon arrival.

Burning River Adventures – The Middle Trip will not be offered due to work being done by the City of Kent at that drop off ramp. However, you now have options (see choices below). Meet at the boat ramp in the back of Water Works Park (CFO) 30 minutes prior to your trip. Price includes kayak, paddle, life vests and transportation to a river drop off ramp. We paddle back to Water Works! An electronic waiver will arrive in your confirmation email. Once these trips are filled to capacity, they will be closed. If you opt for the long trip, please check in with your Reunion Committee Members, Kathy Mahoney Knepp and John Tussey opon arrival. If we time this right, after two hours, we should be at the launch site for the one hour paddle and join our classmates taking the short trip!

  • Friday Night Get Together - Jenks Building

1884 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls - 6:00pm – 11:00pm

The Jenks Building (aka Schriber Auto Parts) is an historical building in Cuyahoga Falls where one of our class member's photography is featured! A CASH BAR with beer, bottles of wine, pop & bottled water will be available. The evening's price includes pizza & salad. Our musically talented classmates are welcome to bring instruments and JAM the night away! Interested? Call 330-962-5665 the week before and Kyle will connect you with Michael Owen to discuss details. Michael did not graduate with us, (though many of his cousins did) however, he lives in Cuyahoga Falls and has always been active in our lives and the community. He and his beautiful wife, Jodie, are the owners of the Jenks Building. You will enjoy shopping in their art and retail store.



Saturday - August 21



  • Glens Trail Hike at Gorge Metro Park

Meet your reunion committee member Joanne Delagrange Welsh in the Gorge Metro Park main parking lot on Front St. to the begin our Glens Trail hike by 9:00. Look for the tiger ... you’ll find us! Details can be found on the website. We’ll be done in time to make the tour at the high school if you are hoping to partake in that bit of nostalgia!

  • Tour Cuyahoga Falls High School

Cuyahoga Falls High – 431 Stow Ave / LIKE ANYONE NEEDS THIS ADDRESS! LOL!

Can you still find your locker? A representative from the CF Schools Foundation & Alumni Association will meet us at 11:00am by the gym doors (back parking lot) for a stroll back in time. This may be your last chance before a new campus is built. Check in with your Reunion Committee Members, Pam Kane Stacks and Arlene Prinzo Jiamboi upon arrival.



  • YOGA at Highbridge Glens

Highbridge Glens Park 1817 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls

1:30 - 2:30pm Yoga Class (weather permitting) - $5.00 per person for class. Debbie DiNicola (CFHS 1972) will be your instructor. Bring your mat or blanket. Check in with your Reunion Committee Member, Pam Kane Stacks upon arrival.


50th CLASS REUNION!! THE MAIN EVENT!!


  • Silver Lake Country Club, 1325 Graham Road, Silver Lake

  • 5:00 check in and cocktail hour (cash bar).

Let’s have fun exchanging memories! We will enjoy music, dancing, photo booth, food and more! There will be indoor and outdoor areas for mingling as you look over the beautiful Silver Lake Golf Course. We are so excited to be getting together after 50 years!

Please check in upon arrival, verify your contact information and receive your name tag. Your name tag will also be used for Sunday's Soap Box Derby food truck if pre-paid.

  • Attire

In high school dress codes went from dress shirts, dress shoes, slacks and dresses, to nice jeans, shirts and casual attire. For this event, attire is your choice. PJ's, slippers or curlers are not acceptable! No bare feet or bare you! You must wear shirts and shoes.


  • Note: Depending on Covid requirements, if masks and Social Distancing are in effect at the time of the reunion, we will respect the guidelines required





Sunday - August 22



Sunday Soap Box Derby Race!

789 Derby Downs Drive, Akron, Ohio 44306

Join us for the last day of our Reunion Weekend! The Class of 71 Spectators Welcome!

  • 11:30am Race: Check in and pay $10 cash to the Akron SBD Board Secretary (Vickie) to race. Vickie will put your name on a tag and pull the tags for lining up the heats.

  • 12:00pm THE RACE BEGINS! It is a double elimination race, a minimum of 2 times down the hill. Will Bill Kuglar have to give up the title & trophy?!

  • 12:00 to 3:00pm Roll Call Burgers & Fries Food Truck for SBD Race participants & spectators who pre-pay. Click here for food truck menu

  • Check in for food, drinks and fun with Committee Members, John Tussey and Arlene Prinzo Jiamboi.

Option 1 - All 3 events (Friday Jenks, Saturday Main Event, Sunday Food Truck) $85.00 per person

Option 2 - Main Event $65.00 per person

Option 3 - Main Event and Friday Jenks $75.00 per person

Option 4 - Main Event and Sunday Food Truck $75.00 per person

Option 5 - Friday Jenks and Sunday Food Truck $35.00 per person

Option 6 - Friday Jenks OR Sunday Food Truck $20.00 per person

You can thank the Cuyahoga Falls Schools Foundation & Alumni Association by doing the same! Any contribution over the $25 fee will help with Scholarships, possibly for one of your grandchildren!
